The newly unveiled technology, built using Gemini with Vertex AI, will enable the automaker to deliver user-friendly conversational navigation search. Mercedes-Benz will transform the capabilities of their MBUX Virtual Assistant by leveraging Google Cloud’s new Gen AI offering. Currently, their assistant is limited to basic voice commands and static responses. Integrating the Automotive AI Agent will enhance in-car experiences by enabling seamless, multi-turn dialogues.

In Google’s press release, Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet, shared his thoughts on the strategic partnership. He highlighted its potential impact on user experiences:
